The lighter side of Catalyst 09

For a short change, I thought I’d post some of the lighter side of catalyst.

Lannyonleno.com

Lanny Donoho, comedian and part -host of the Catalyst experience, tried a social experiment during the convention. He created a website and asked everyone to twitter, facebook and blog about lannyonleno.com. His goal was to get into a trending topic on twitter and … quite obviously..get himself booked on the Leno show. He’d have been more successful if the cell service (hence twitter capabilities) was better in the big gray pit of the arena.

Professor Splash was another highlight. Professor Splash climbed 35 feet 9 inches in the air, and in a daring act of either bravery or stupidity, dove (belly flopped) into a 12″ pool of water. Watch the video.

In another Lanny Donoho moment, the Catalyst crew decided to surprise him with a tattoo onstage. “On Your Mark” was the theme of Catalyst. Lanny, you’ve been marked. I’m just saying, I’d have refused.

Most breathtaking moment of Catalyst: when the whole room sang hymns acapello. There’s just something about that which sends chills up and down the spine.
